Richard Hobbs is the President of Novotech with over 20 years'
experience in the distribution industry. Before Novotech,
Richard spent eight years at DCI, where he served in various
management positions, rising to Vice President of Sales. Richard
earned his BA in economics from Bishops University.
As the president of Novotech Technologies, Richard is
responsible for the company's overall performance, and is dedicated
to driving the company's growth and profitability. Richard lives by
the saying "work hard, play hard" and encourages all Novotech
employees to create a work/play balance in their own lives.
Richard enjoys spending time with his family and friends,
listening to music and riding his motorcycle. He is also an avid
golfer who requested that we mention his handicap of 6.
Larry Bellehumeur
VP, Business
Development
Following several years of managing Novotech’s Sales Team, Larry
now leads the New Business team ensuring a healthy pipeline of
customers in an ever-evolving market.
With close to 20 years experience in the world of IoT, Larry
brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role. He
initially became part of the Novotech team when the company that he
founded, MobileForce Solutions, was acquired by Novotech in
2010. Prior to that, he held several senior management

When not out on the trails going for a run, Larry is active
stock trader who has been featured in publications such as The
Globe and Mail, Canadian Business and the Associated Press.
Lora Simpson, CPA, CGA
VP, Finance
and Operations
Lora Simpson is the VP of Finance, Operations and Technical Support.
Lora's jurisdiction is all aspects of administration, finance,
operations and information systems at Novotech Technologies.
Lora is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Certified
General Accountant with over 20 years of accounting, finance and
operations experience with high-tech companies.
As a chartered accountant, Lora has carried many skills and
proficiencies into her duties. Lora ensures no stone is left
unturned when it comes to cybersecurity, her finance team,
inventory and numerous other tasks, which would seem daunting to
many; however, they are just another day in the office for
Lora.
In her spare time, Lora likes to explore the east coast of
Canada with her family, taking an annual visit to her cottage in
the Maritimes.
Scott Deyoe
VP,
Engineering
Scott is the VP of Engineering. In this role, he assists with
partner selection, oversees pre- and post-sales support manages our
cellular offerings as well as Novotech services.
He has been involved in cellular product development for over 23
years, starting with the OnStar program while at Delco Electronics.
Scott has taken several products through the device approval
process at multiple carriers. Scott is a wireless veteran with 15
years of systems engineering experience while at General Dynamics
working on various weapons systems, focusing on cellular, GPS,
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies.
Scott holds a patent in voice recognition and is interested in
all areas wireless focusing on cellular, GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
He enjoys sharing his knowledge and experience with Novotech
resellers and customers.
When not assisting customers with launching their new products,
Scott enjoys running, CrossFit and spending time with his children
and grandchildren.
Alex Aubie
VP, Sales
and Channel
As VP Sales & Channels, Alex is responsible for sales team
leadership, driving revenue, running channel relations, as well as
general management responsibilities. Alex combines his
extensive background in sales, business development and product
marketing to manage and enhance strategic relationships in the
M2M/IoT space. His hands-on experience in developing and
communicating sales plans across multiple channels enables Alex to
understand and implement customer goals that meet and exceed
objectives.
Alex is a marketer-turned-product leader-turned-sales
professional, passionate about establishing high levels of respect
and trust with customers. Alex has an in-depth understanding of the
client's business and how they go to market. Working at two
world-leading sporting goods companies before joining Novotech in
2009, Alex prides himself on increasing corporate growth and
growing profitability in every position he has held, including his
current role with Novotech.
When Alex isn't at the local rink with his hockey team, he is
spending time with his family.
Steve Shock
VP,
Marketing
Steve Shock is VP Marketing at Novotech. In his role, Steve
leads all activities related to Marketing, Communications, Customer
Engagement, Social Media, Services & Solutions Development, and
Partner Development and Relations. The primary focus for Steve is
digital transformation and delivering exceptional service through
new and innovative digital channels.
The digital channel is where Steve excels as he has held
leadership positions since the late '90s, both at Global B2B Brands
and for one of Canada's leading B2B digital agencies.
Steve is laser-focused on improving user experience through the
customer journey. He knows that deeply engaging prospects and
customers will result in more quality leads for sales.
When Steve is not killing it at the office, you can find him at
the CrossFit gym, in the shop, woodworking, or spending time with
his family in the country
